Among its accolades are the Audience Award at the Oslo Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, Best Short at the PlantOut Film Festival, Grand Prize at the Michigan Reel Pride for Best Women's Short and Best Lesbian Short award at the Pikes Peak Lavender Film Festival.

ANCHOR BABY tells the story of 17-year-old Anabella, a typical Los Angeles teenager, navigating the routine of school, church, and friendships. Everything changes when her mother, Yolanda, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala, receives a final deportation notice from U.S. immigration authorities. With the constant threat of Yolanda's arrest and deportation looming, they seek sanctuary in their church near downtown LA. The film chronicles their six-year journey, a period filled with challenges and the resilience they learn. Co-directed by Leanna Creel and Mason Funk.
